Isai Peroli Dr.Nithyasri Mahadevan's concert on the 5th day at Kartik Fine Arts was a very neat presentation.


Smt.Nithyasri began her concert with a varnam in Ragam Kedaragowlai set to Adi Talam a composition of Tiruvotriyur Tyagayyar.. Next she sang a very beautiful Keerthanam "Gopalaka Pahimam" in the Ragam Revagupthi, Talam Misra Chapu a composition of Maharaja Swathi tirunal.


After rendering "Sujana jeevana" a composition of Saint Thyagaraja in the Ragam Khamas set to Rupaka Talam, she started with Raagam Dhanyasi elaborated with the alapanam which was well presented by both Nithyasri and today's Violinist Vidwan Sri. B. Raghavendra Rao; she sang a Keerthanam "Kanaka Sabhapathi" in the Ragam Dhanyasi Adi Talam a composition of Gopalakrishna Bharathi


She chose to sing the popular numbers like "Mokashamu galada" in Ragam Saramathi set to Adi Talam composition of Saint Thyagaraja and "Swagatham Krishna" in Ragam Mohanam set to Adi Talam Tisra Gathi a composition of Oothukkadu Venkatasubba Iyer.


The main Ragam of this evening was Hemavathi which is known as Desi Simharavam according to Dikshitar Tradition, after the elaborate presentation of the Raagam she sang Sree kanthimathim set to Adi Talam Composer : Sri Muttuswamy Dikshitar. Both niraval and Swaraprastharam were neat..Thani avarthanam was well received by the audience.


She sang two more Keerthanams "Mangala roopiniye" in Ragam Jonpuri set to Adi Talam a composition of Harikesanallur, Muthayya Bhagavathar and "Kaiyyil kuzhaludan" in the Ragam Ranjani set to Adi Talam.


Nithyasri concluded the concert with a keerthanam of Annamaacharya "Adi deva paramathma" in the Ragam Sindhu bhairavi set to Adi Talam.


Today's artists for percussion were Vidwan Sri P.Sathish Kumar on the Mridangam and Vidwan Sri Bangalore Srisailam.


Nithyasri had houseful audience.
