Kartik Fine Arts

36th year Art festival 2010 - 20th December, 2010

Shivaloga Nathanai Kandu by Shobana and the students of her Academy Kalarpana presented this thematic presentation which was very lively. The program started with the Mallari Tholudaya Seviyan which was presented neatly. The Ragamalika Varnam again was in praise of Lord Shiva and Shobana’s interpretation of sancharis was dramatic.

Shobana along with her students did the jathis, swarams and the lyrical part. Consequentially the stage was complete. The special lighting effects added beauty to the production. The group was very well rehearsed and there was no slackness in the production. When Shobana went on to perform the famous Nandanar Padam as the Madu or the bull was hiding without being able to get the glimpse of the dancing Lord.

A brisk Tilana by Swati Tirunaal is Mishrachapu was well choreographed. Kunitha Puravamum was beautifully narrated. Radha Badri’s singing and Ramakrishnan’s mridangam added colour to the production. The audience was blessed to have had the darshan of Shiva Nataraja.

Karthik Fine Arts is continuously adding different flavours to this great art form.
