Kartik Fine Arts

36th year Art festival 2010 - 29th December, 2010

Incredible Dance

Smt. Vyjayanthimala Bali yester year tinsel queen was simply extraordinary in her presentation today. She started with Shivakama Sundari a Keerthanam and went in straight to perform the popular Kamas Varnam Swamiya Varacholladi..

Right from the beginning stance everything was so perfect and it was amazing to see she was dressed in a proper full Bharathanatyam costume and jewellery. The whole dance was a delight to watch and Smt. Vyjayanthimala Bali has gone into the nuances and techicalities of details. Its also a very thoughtful idea to have an orchestra which was very young and highly talented skills and professional..

Just mere words cannot describe the beauty of the performance as the audience were awe struck. The stamina, perfection, dedication, perfection, discipline, committment, respect, and bhakthi towards this great traditional art form.

Strong command of classical music could be seen in the delivery of Swaras, Sahityam, Sancharys, Padams and in every part of dance.

The audience today performance of living legend and whole audience was packed. There was standing ovation and people just refused to move out of their seats after the performance. A great service to art and culture that Kartik Fine Arts is giving to the Rasikas and artists which is a memory to cherish always.

The Rasikas cannot ask for better treat than this at the end of the year.

Dignified Kathak

Sri.Jayanth Kastuar from Delhi, disciple of Sri.Durgalal presented a lively Kathak Dance Programme. His handling of the Thisram, Rhythemic section was very lively and enjoyable. He also presented contrast in the Bhols in a vigorous form and his dance in a gentle Lasya pattern.

The singer was superb and the Pakavaj and Tabla were well tuned and added great support to dance. It is so wonderful that Kartik Fine Arts is bringing different artists from different states and different styles coming and performing in this festival under passionate audience.

The evening was simply a joy to remember about both the performances.
